The Oakley Bucket Bag is a medium sized bucket bag that features three pockets as well as a unique and classy closure. The leather accents on this bag give it a retro, high end look. I rate the Oakley Bucket Bag as an intermediate pattern based on the small seam allowance and the use of leather; however it is a simple pattern that can be made by a beginner with the right materials. I sewed all of my Oakley bags on a Brother PQ1500SL machine with a leather needle. There are so many customization options for you to really make it your own. I hope you enjoy making the Oakley Bucket Bag as much as I enjoyed designing it!

Welcome to Purses By Holly!
My love affair with purses started at a very young age. From the time I could walk, I was rarely without a purse. There was just something magical about having something you could carry around that housed all of your most important belongings.
To this day, I squeal with delight every time I see a cute bag. I have been sewing for over 30 years. I became tired of seeing the same old thing everywhere, so I decided to create my own sewing patterns. I believe that every bag you carry should be a reflection of you. It should say, "I'm Powerful", "I'm Feminine", "I'm Fun", "I'm Sophisticated" or whatever you happen to feel at the moment. If a purse does not make you feel good, then you have the wrong purse!
It has become a passion of mine to design all sorts of bags and wallets! I have so many ideas that I am excited to share with you. I hope you will enjoy creating with my patterns as much as I enjoy designing them!
